Vineetha Alias, DO, FAAP, CLC

Vineetha Alias, DO, FAAP, received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from The College of New Jersey. She attended medical school at UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine, now known as Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Alias did her pediatric residency training at the University of Connecticut where she won the James A. Kangos M.D. Award for Excellence in Patient Care by a Pediatric Resident. She was also awarded the Primary Care Clinic Graduating Resident Award. After completing her residency, Dr. Alias moved to Philadelphia and worked as an academic pediatrician at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for two years where she led the implementation of fluoride varnish application as part of routine preventative care. Deciding to move closer to family, Dr. Alias returned to NJ in 2015 and started working at Watchung Pediatrics. She resides in Livingston with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include trying new recipes, reading, learning calligraphy, and exercising. She hopes to one day learn to swim and travel more often. Dr. Alias is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also recently became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) after successfully completing the didactic and practical sections of the Certified Lactation Counselor Exam. She started at Watchung Pediatrics in September 2015.
