Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions from families.
General
We have privileges at Overlook Hospital and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. If you deliver at these hospitals we will see your baby in the hospital. We accept patients delivered at any local hospital. If you deliver at a hospital we don't round at, we will see your baby at 3–5 days of age after discharge.
Your first visit is 2–3 days after leaving the hospital. In the first year, visits happen at 2–4 weeks, then 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months. After that it spreads out — 15, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months, then once a year.See the full well-visit schedule →
For well visits booked in advance, absolutely — just request your preferred provider. For same-day sick visits we try to schedule with the first available provider, we try to accommodate provider specific request when possible.
