I played sports my whole life , so I was always drawn to how the body works and how to keep healthy. Medicine felt like a natural fit. Growing up, I ran sports camps and classes, coached, and mentored kids of all ages — I just loved it. I was interested in sports medicine, but then realized I enjoyed watching the kids I interacted with grow into adults. Getting to know families and being a part of their lives is such a joy for me. My love for science drew an interest in pediatric hematology/oncology as well. In that field, we also supported and grew with families, particularly under difficult circumstances. That still holds a special place in my heart, but general pediatrics turned out to be the perfect fit and I look forward to seeing my patients each and every day. We're a close knit family in our office, and we treat our patients the same way. I'm close with my colleagues inside and outside of work. We make sure we make the environment we're in to be fun and lighthearted, in addition to being educational. What we recommend for our patients is the same thing we would do for our own children. We want families to feel informed, not talked at — we lay out the science and evidence based guidelines so they can make the best choice for themselves. Outside of work I'm an avid sports fan — San Antonio Spurs, New York Mets, New York Giants. I play soccer and basketball, any sport to be honest. Love cooking (and eating even more), traveling and seeing the world and experiencing different cultures, and going to as many concerts and events as I can. Most of my time goes to my family and friends though. After living in Jersey City, my wife, 2 daughters, and I settled in Westfield with our French bulldog, Olive. As long as I'm around those that I love, that's all I can ask for!
