Mental health support in your pediatrician's office
Established in 2019, Watchung Pediatrics was one of the first pediatric practices in New Jersey to integrate behavioral health directly into the pediatrician's office. Our collaborative model pairs primary care providers with licensed social workers for short-term therapy, assessments, and referrals.

- Anxiety and depression screening using validated tools to identify concerns early
- ADHD assessment, support, and ongoing coordination with schools and families
- School refusal intervention with strategies to help children return to the classroom
- Social skills development through short-term therapy and guided practice
- Behavioral concerns evaluation for challenges like aggression, defiance, and emotional regulation
- Developmental concerns support including autism screening and early intervention referrals
- Counseling and referrals to specialized providers when longer-term care is needed
