About

Steve De Los Rios, DNP, CPNP, studied nursing at William Paterson University and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice at Rutgers. Before joining Watchung Pediatrics, he spent eight years as an inpatient RN at the Weill Cornell Campus of New York Presbyterian, mostly in the Pediatric Step-Down Unit.

What motivates you?

I chose pediatrics because I enjoy building long-term relationships with kids and their families. Watching them grow from newborn visits to school physicals and everything in between. I like being there for milestones, for everyday questions, for when a kid isn't feeling well. That's what makes Watchung Pediatrics special to me — everyone here genuinely cares about the families we see. Outside of work, I'm a lifelong (I know, I know). Sundays are for Red Zone. I follow Muay Thai and Kickboxing, specifically ONE FC. I'm a recreational powerlifter with a home garage gym and I advocate for safe pediatric resistance training. Most weekends I'm hiking with my daughter or spending time with my amazing wife.

Dr. Delosrios is phenomenal. He's kind, friendly and connects with my boy! Understands his concerns and is detailed and cautious in guidance. Ethan likes him a lot.

Been taking my daughter here since she was born. Wonderful staff and doctors. We normally see Dr Alias, but Steve was SO wonderful last week. Wouldn't trust anywhere else!
