I chose pediatrics because I love the honesty and energy of kids. I love helping parents navigate the amazing ups and downs of parenthood, and I am a forever advocate for children's health and well-being. I also feel strongly that visiting the doctor should be a fun and helpful experience for children. My favorite day in the office is when a patient tells me they wanted to come when they are feeling sick so we can help them feel better. Being a mom is my favorite thing in the world — it's truly the best job ever. I love building community with my families and taking care of not just their children but their whole extended family. It brings me joy to know I'm helping a whole generation be strong and healthy. I'm a homebody who married a true outdoorsman, so you can find me in our RV fishing, camping, and cooking. I grew up the daughter of a Puerto Rican percussionist who plays Afro-Puerto Rican bomba y plena music with a group called Segunda Quimbamba based in Jersey City — yes, I play too! In my free time (that is nonexistent because — hello, I'm a mom of 2 boys) I love going to yoga and gardening.
