Dr. Katz’s retirement
Founding Partner, Watchung Pediatrics
To My Watchung Pediatrics Patients and Families,
After many wonderful years of caring for the children and families of Watchung Pediatrics, I have decided that the end of this summer 2026 will be the right time for me to retire from the practice of Pediatrics. My last day of scheduled patients will be Thursday, August 27.

It has been my great honor to get to know each and every one of your families, watch your children grow and even care for your children’s children (my grandpatients)! Watchung Pediatrics has become exactly the wonderful pediatric practice that I always envisioned when I started it in 1994. It is a place where kind, caring, knowledgeable providers, nurses and staff all work together to the best of their potential and abilities to provide excellent medical care in a compassionate setting. I’m so proud to have spent my long career here and I leave knowing my patients are in capable hands!

Let’s plan for transition of your care
- to a different provider at Watchung Pediatrics, or
- to an internist or family practice doctor outside of the practice.
If transferring out of the practice, a summary of care can be provided to an adult practice. Some adult patients may prefer to have their next physical exam at their new doctor, while others prefer to have their next physical or consultation as a “wrap up” at Watchung Pediatrics to discuss open issues and help plan for the future.
Watchung Pediatrics will be changing its Electronic Health Record System on June 2. You will be receiving log in instructions soon to explain how to access the new EHR. In the meantime, please contact the office with any questions you may have.
With much love and respect,
Andrea Katz, MD, FAAP
